We love Chicago!
Chicago gave us a warm welcome! My wife Celene and I are excited to now call it home, and we thank everyone who has given us support.
Chicago is a great city - vibrant, multi-cultural, and home to some very talented ballroom dancers.
Dance as a way of life.
Dance has been a passion since I was 16 years old. I remember attending a party
in Hungary at that age and running away when everyone started to dance.
I had no idea what to do with myself! After that party, I was inspired to attend a dance school
and began taking lessons.
I started training in Hungary and before long opportunities appeared, doors opened one after another. I trained with master dancers, Hungarian, Italian, German, Russian, American, Norwegian... These teachers saw hidden talent in me, more than I could see in myself, and for this I am grateful. My teachers also saw how hard I was willing to work to become a better and better dancer. I participated in Hungarian championships and had the honor of being my country’s dance champion 13 times.
I stopped competing professionally in order to dedicate myself to teaching. I discovered I could help and inspire people to not only become better dancers, but better people.
Dance can be a powerful tool for people to discover and express different parts of themselves. It helps you develop greater rhythm, balance, harmony, respect and courtesy for one’s partner, and especially confidence. Dance can be a way of life.
Ballroom dance not only offers you opportunities to develop and enhance your skills as a dancer,
but also as a dancer partner, and even more broadly makes you a better listener, more respectful,
flexible, cooperative.
Teaching dance with soul.
I teach people, not just feet, or arms, or hips. I like to establish a human connection
with my students, not just technical. I love to see my students transform, learn new things,
reach new levels, build more confidence, both in their dancing and in their life.
For me, confidence is a state of being that accompanies transformation, experience,
achieving and surpassing one’s goals. The dance floor is an excellent practice ground
to develop these qualities. Confidence is also an attitude of acceptance and peace
with oneself and towards others. Dance is a great medium to develop greater confidence,
assertiveness, and joy.
